MY IVF Protocol

I shared my IVF protocol with some co-workers and they suggested I post it here so folks who aren’t familiar with the process can see how involved it is! I will admit that it was a bit overwhelming at first, but now that I’ve read through everything and started a special calendar, I’m feeling better. So here it goes...more

As you can see, there are a lot of days “to be determined” which is hard to accept for a planner, Type-A person like me. If everything goes like clockwork (which is doubtful lol), I’ll have my egg retrieval the week of August 1 and the embryo transfer the following week.

I still need to do my injection training, which is a little intimidating. If anyone has any tips or advice, I’d love to hear from you. I’ve found some really helpful YouTube channels to help guide me through this craziness. I love SomedayMama! She went through IVF a couple of years ago and now has the most precious twin girls. She’s silly and I just love her energy.

I’ve been going to acupuncture twice a week for almost a month now and I’m enjoying it. Usually cycle day 1 is a real bitch, but since starting acupuncture, I noticed that my first day was easy peasy! I also love the fact that I get to take a 45 minute nap during each session. It gives me a chance to decompress and relax.

While all of this is a bit intimidating, I am truly excited to get started! I’m feeling really good. I know it won’t be easy, but nothing worth having ever is!
